Default Help!! My Car Overheated!!

Well my dad was outside trying to fix the rear window.. Anyhow he left the car on with the A/C for about an hour or so.. Then he notice the temperature needle went to hot. He shut off the engine right away and let it cool down.. Then when he opened the radiator cap he notice boiling water and steam.. Then he let it cool down some more and poor some more water and radiator fluid.. Then he drove it again then it came hot again? Whats wrong!!! Someone help PLEASE!

Mine also just did the same thing... I let it cool down then i put radiator fluid in the reseviour container, and then the next morning after still not drving it at all, all of it was gone out of the container.. Then i put some in the radiator... Not the cap in the front of the car but in the middle one.. Everything works great from then on...

THE REASON IT COULD BE DOING THAT IS BECAUSE YOU NEED A NEW THERMOSTAT OR YOU HAVE A CRACK IN THE RADIATOR OR YOUR WATER PUMP IS NOT WORKING OR YOUR HOSES ARE CRACKED OR ETC. ETC. ETC.
