Default Installing an amp in a 95 ES300 - wiring tips?

Has anyone installed an amp in a 95 or similar ES300? I'm looking for tips on running the battery cable through the firewall and also if there's an optimal path to run the RCA's and power to the trunk for the amp. Also any help on where the best place to ground the amp in the trunk would be great.

It's not a monster system, just one 12 and an amp. Thanks in advance for any tips/assistance.

i ran my power wire through a pre existing hole that had a wire to the engine. made the hole bigger, and there it was. RCAs are on my passenger side to avoid noise. and best ground location i have is where the CD changer bolt is. i wont be using it anymore.

I see a huge bundle going through the firewall on the passenger side, is that the one you used?

Thanks for the reply!

i always use the space where the clutch would go if it were a standard, on automatics. if you look under the dash, where the master cylinder and pedal would connect, there is a removable piece of sound deadening. pull out the sound deadening and drill from inside out, make sure there is nothing in the engine compartment that could get drilled accidently. insert your rubber grommet and run the wire through.

not only is your battery on the driver side, right in front of the clutch area making it convenient, but that large harness on your passenger side is your ECM. its easy to damage the wire harness or pick up electrical interference from running your audio near the ECM harness.

also, there is a power antenna bolted just behind the passenger side trunk liner thats a good ground source if you dont want to run it all the way out to the changer.

I ran my power wire from the battery, through the fender wall, through the rubber grommet int he Drivers footwell where the harness and hood release cable are, then ran it back with the stock wires along the frame rail. I ran the other wires from the radio on the Pass side the same way. Just use a 12 or 14mm bolt somewhere for the ground. A seat bolt is always good.

i ran the power cable trough a hole that was already made throught the firewall.. the hole is right above the brake pedal. it waz easy to fit through and run it to the battery..since i was using a 10guage wire.. and i took out all the seats in the back and the inside side panels, and i tuck in the rca cable and the remote wire.. and i put the ground cable to a factory bolt on the trunk chasis.. sounds good.. going to post pics soon!good luck
