First off, welcome to Clublexus! Feel free to ask any questions. Just be sure to search first, you can usually find what you're looking for with a search.
As far as I know, there are no significant issues with this car. There are a few minor TSIB's (I don't remember what they are lol) but nothing serious. This is a great car and congratulations on your purchase!
Also. PIIIIICCCCSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. These cars don't have any problems, they are built like w123 Mercedes.
But since your car is a 1999 I would check to see of the timing belt and water pump have been changed yet.

Congrats,
I too have a 99 ES. Besides usual maintenance items I've had the following repairs (3-6 are pretty common):
1. throttle position sensor
2. idle speed control
3. idle air control valve (clogged can cause stalls) - can sometimes be cleaned.
4. front/rear valve gaskets (due to leak)
5. front strut mounts (TSB noise)
6. bulbs in stereo/ac climate - inexpensive diy

Well remember 5800K is $5,800,000. I hope you didn't pay that much for an ES300...
5800 is really good for that year and mileage. These are great cars, you will be really happy with it.

Yup, yup, welcome to CL bro. Congrats, looks like you got a good deal. +1 on the sludge, that seems to be an issue if you dont change the oil as recommended on these engines. Also, OP stated, timing belt and water pump should be changed out at 90,000 miles. Enjoy your whip.

Welcome also have a 99. Love IT! If you have the pics on your computer you might need to resize it through a photo editing program. Just right click the picture and click on edit. Once your pic is the right resolution go to the advanced reply and insert or add attachment.
