Default Charcoal canister hose

My son's car needed a new charcoal canister. It just got a re-built tranny and the tech said there is a hole in the bottom of the canister. I found a canister at a salvage yard. It matches the one from my son's 1994 ES300 exactly. The "hole" the tech saw in the bottom of the canister was a nipple for a vac line that is broken off.

My problem is that there is not a vac line laying disconnected in that area. Does anybody know where that line would go? I have checked vac diagrams online but can't find where it goes. It is on the very bottom of the canister. I initially thought it might be a drain but my internet research leads me to believe that fuel vapors are sent back to the engine from the canister so I am assuming there needs to be a hose attched to the bottom nipple. The canister has two hose on top, one hose about halfway down an the front side of the car, and this one all the way on the bottom. The salvage that I got the "new" canister from today already had the engine removed so I couldn't find the hose location from it.

Thanks.

There should be a drain, at least the one on my pickup had one. There was a hose on it about a foot long, the free end was stuck into the frame rail.

The one on the bottom is a drain, I have a 93 and the very bottom hose drops down to a plastic retainer clip on the frame, then 90's over the edge of the frame to drain below.
