1999 ES300 Cupholder Part#/Replacement
My sister has a 1999 ES300 and she has broken the black plastic circular surround that keep the drinks in place. Looks like I need to get her a new cupholder. Anyone have the part number and cheapest place I can get one?
I did a search and did find the DIY, so I'm good there - it seems pretty straight forward.
Thanks so much for the reply!

I think that you will need to specify the interior color of the car. The front trim cover of the cup holder comes in various colors, to match the interior, so each color would have a different part number.
Best bet would be a scarp yard, as a new one from a dealer is well over $100.00. Look for ione with the matching color.
I also am on the lookout for one. Mine is not broken but when I bought the car it looked like a dog or something chewed on that trim cover. Still works, but looks horrible.

Just finished replacing my broken cup holder on my 97 Lexus ES300. I didn't find the instructions easily to do this so I thought I'd post them. Pretty simple once you figure it out though. I'd expect it should take 15 to 20 minutes
First, pry off the trim piece that goes around the shifter. If you don't have a trim removal tool, it might be the right time to spend the $6 at Walmart and invest in a set, I suppose a butter knife might work. At the end furthest from the dash, slip the thin pry tool down the long side of the shifter bezel and pry upwards. It should pop up out of its clips. Repeat on the other side. The front of the bezel (below the ash tray in the dash) has 2 tabs that insert under the ash tray, so pull up from the other end and it should lift out.
Remove the 2 Philips head screws that are now visible that hold the front of console. Inside the console, remove the pad around the power outlet and remove the 2 bolts that secure the console to the floor.
Lift up on the console, disconnect the connector for the power outlet, and pull out the center console.
Four Philips head screws hold in the cup holder in the console. Remove those and the re-install the new replacement.
Installation is the reverse, make sure you get those front tabs on the shifter trim into the slots under the ash tray before you push down and snap it back into place
I hunted to find the right color replacement at junkyard, but it appears that if you're careful, the front colored cover is held on by 2 tabs, and you should be able to remove your original and put it on the replacement.
Now put your coffee in the cup holder and relax

Epoxy
The cup holder broke on my wife's 2000 es300 and I think the best price I found was about $150. Normally I replace/fix everything on our cars but it dawned on me that we never even close the cup holder so I basically pulled the whole assembly out flipped it over and put some 5 minute epoxy in the critical areas. Might seem crazy but it has held for probably 2 years now, and is barely noticeable. As for some advice on the epoxy...it can get messy but don't worry that is why sandpaper was invented. Use some masking tape to contain the epoxy where you need it. Once the epoxy hardens the tape probably won't pull off entirely but again use your sandpaper. I probably started off with 80 grit and then 120 or so. Goodluck
