Looking to buy these wheels
Besides the fact that these are staggered and putting staggered rims on a fwd car is gay.. how do you guys think these will look on my white 98 es300

They would look dope.
The 0.5" difference is seriously negligible, its barely makes them a staggered setup.
I'd be worrying about the tires though.
I'd run a 225/40/18 all around on those rims. The sizes given are way off for your speedo, and of course it could have a negative effect on the handling running such wide tires.

I like those wheels but how they would look on an ES is another story. Its such a tough call because the ES (and I know im gonna get flamed for this), is kind of an old man looking car and when you put such as aggressive looking wheel on that type of car things look out of place. I have yet to find the perfect wheel for an ES thats why I think im just gonna leave my stock 2000 platinum wheels on it. Even larger wheels from newer model ES's take some serious getting used to when installed on the older ES's. If you get them take pics and post them!!!!

I had the 225 on an 8" and it was just flush with the lip of the wheel.
So it may or may not have some 'baby stretch'* - depends on the tire.
*barely noticeable
Some stretch better than others, some stretch more aggressively than others.
I'm running a 225 on a 7" wide now and it sticks a bit past the wheel [rim protector]

I agree with the 225's or 215's. My old rims were 8.5 inches wide and I had 225's/40/18 on them, very slight stretch. My new rims are 8 inches wide and now the tire sits flush with the rim. I myself, when the 225's wear out, will go with a 215, to get that slight stretch again and possibly lower her some more, but thats a big if for later. Also, take pics of the new rims on your ES. Good luck. BTW, I going to assume your going to use spacers in the rear, especially if you have coilovers?

I've got 20 mm spacers in the rear right now.. with the offset difference between my koseis and these z wheels they should be flush.. or as these days they call it.. "hellaflush".
Only thing is.. i'm having trouble picturing these on my car.. All of my friends say it will not look good
