I just bought used cd changer for es300 and having slight issue with cd changer. When I play cd, I am getting 'err' once in a while. When I open and see the changer, cd is stopped and I can spin it manually then it will start back. It looks like it getting stuck once in a while.

What's the best to clean/fix this? I am assuming this unit was sitting on the shelve for a long time before when I get it.

Does anybody have picture of how cd changer should be mounted in the trunck? Picture would be awesome.

On my '93 ES300, it's on the left side of the floor, tight against the liner and about 8" (guessing) forward of the rear panel. The cartridge opening faces rearward. Try searching EBay for a picture, or maybe in an on-line manual.
For a fix for the cd stalling problem, examine the mechanism very very closely to understand how it works. You should be able to see what is 'freed up' when you nudge the cd to get it going agian. Fix is a tiny adjustment to the mechanism or a spot of lubricant. I've fixed several old dash cd players by adding white lithium grease to every place that I could see had been lubed by the factory. It dries out.

I had the same problem in my 96.I opened it up clean the lens and surrounding parts and it work well for a while.There should be a metal casing for it in the left side of the trunk.
