Are there any differences between a 2000/01 and a 1997 ES300 Pioneer factory radio?

I dont think that there is a major difference. The amp might be different but thats about it. I mean the look of the radio might be the same??? But it is usually all the same or all pioneer. I know my speakers from my 92 said pioneer, so I guess the other stuff would be also.
