My friend swapped his 99 Camry to manual .So I believe Yes it can be done. 97-01 Camry v6 A/T and 97/01 es300 is basically the same. You will need parts from a v6 97-01 5speed Camry or a v6 5speed 00-03 Solara. You can also use the transmission from 92/93 es300 5speed it bolts up to the 1mz-fe .If you are interested pm me. i know someone who sell the 5speed conversion kits for a good price
I'm currently in the process of doing my swap in my 2es which is same motor as yours minus the vvti.
www.ratko.org This for the older model but basically the same thing.Use that as a guide.

why you ask, because i eventually want to turbo it. and if i turbo'd it while it was automatic that would just be odd. i would also have to get the trans rebuilt

Hi. I would like to know if these transmissionz will be to my 03 es300 1mz and if so, what's a good car for donor axels, clutch pedal assembly. What mounts do I use, and what
Do I do for the electronics to work with it

This is not doable unless you have a donor car, a full shop, fabrication skills and a lot of time on your hands. Forget about it.

I wouldn't bother with an es300, and I own one. It's not a performance car, it was never intended to be. It would take a ridiculous amount of work to get it there, the wheel track (width) is too narrow, and the geometry is good at that back, but not great at the front.
It's a pretty old car, you're just throwing money away. If you must so be it,

When compared to the Nissan Skyline sedan I had previously (2.0L Straight 6, turbo), it is majorly lacking in the performance department... For a 3.0L 6 cylinder it's surprisingly gutless IMHO

This is a waste of effort. Turboing would likely require an engine swap and its fwd car. Torque steer is not fun. If want to mod an old car look at a Honda civic with an i or an old mustang. Cut your teeth on something more proven.

yeah, the es300 is a really smooth engine but it's surprising short on power, it's an 'FE' engine which means the head ports are small (for economy), and the valves are .. conservative.I was quite surprised the intake ports were so small. It's certainly a decent short block though.
I think if someone swapped in the Mistsubushi VR4 turbo setup or some small T3's, added some bigger injectors, and an aftermarket ECU with say only 10-15psi, you could leave the short block alone and not need to decompress it. I think it would top out about 350-400hp. That's more than enough to wreak auto's and manual gearbox's alike. I would be a pretty cheap swap, but you'd really need a megasquirt ecu to make it cost effective.
The tuning would make or break the conversion. If it was tuned for smoothness and efficiency the 'es300-ness' wouldn't be lost and it would be quite a car. I think a 'plumb back' blow off valve would be a must, as would plumbed in wastegates or integral ones on factory turbo's. Actually the TD05-20G would be a perfect pair of turbos (subaru ones actually). and a hidden intercooler.
