Hey guys, i need some help. What would i need to do to fit 18x9 in my rear for my es ? I know its possible but i'm wondering if it would cost an arm and a leg for it. I was deciding to paint my car but it costs wayyy too much ..

it should be fine, it should be flushed too, cause with 18x8 in the back needs about 15 to 20mm spacer to make it flush, but dont go by me hahaha not the best source

Second, what is the offset on the wheels?

The question you are asking, is simply put - stupid.

If you are getting one-off wheels from DPE or something then give them the offset that would clear the struts and you're gold.

Otherwise post the offset of the wheels you are currently looking at.

My bad on that. Its 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear both offsets are +35.

The ES is a FWD car there is no purpose for a staggered setup on it.

Im no expert, but I believe with the 18x9 in the rear with that offset, you will hit the strut, you will need spacers to push it away from the strut. Are you on coilovers or OEM setup? I have a 98 ES300 and have 18x8.5 with a 38 offset and the tire was touching my OEM strut, I had to put 15mm spacers to make it clear by a half inch. Now, I'm on K-Sport coilovers and my rim sits a little closer to the coilover, about a quarter inch, same set up, but just switched over to coilovers. With that said, those 18x9 may hit and you might need a 20mm spacer for clearance, but offset also plays a big part of it too, its all about crunching the numbers and if possible trying it out, put the 18x9's on and see if it hits or not, then try spacers and see what happens. Then that purpose means you need to buy a RWD car. It is completely non-functional and looks ridiculous to those that know better.

Just get a nice set of 18x8 wheels all around. Don't front your Lexus.

fwd should not be staggered. it is not rwd, it is harsher on the tranny plus 9" rims all around will fit, but 9" with +35 offset probably wont.

btw, I already told you this information through a couple of pm's. if you don't know what you're doing, take it to the professionals and let them decide for you.

Charley, any new or recent pics of your ES bro. I noticed on your Sig pic, that your front bumper is not a standard front bumper, much different. Any suggestions about finding a rear lip for a 3rd Gen ES300?

lol THAT is funny!! How dare someone want to make a FWD car look good with a nice stagerd set up. And non-functional? Don't act like the ES300 is some awesome performance machine, its not. Who cars if its non-functional, it looks way better than having the same size all around.

If i can fit mine, you can definitely fit yours with a little help from spacers of course. you might have to extend the bolts or go for hubcentric spacers..
