installing stereo 98es\is this a good unit?
Jensen VM9022HDN
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...2HDN.html#tabs.
Dash kit
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+-+LS2081.html
I was going to get a wiring harness to tap into the existing amp, so I can keep my sub woofer.

Are any one of these wiring harness, a better pick for the 98es
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewc...5&f_701_2609=1
I heard some other suggest to bypass the amp, but i do not want to lose the woofer.
I have the stock pioneer radio; I am not sure but are the speakers 4 ohms or 2 with this unit?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have and will continue to always recommend any brand over a Jensen unit. If you aren't a serious audiophile then it is ok. Otherwise I would look into a Kenwood, Alpine, or Pioneer.

IMO I would stay away from the Jensen brand. shop crutchfield, for comparisons, and you can find deals elsewhere. But crutchfield is a excellent company to deal with. and they supply you all harnesses, but maybe not the particular dash kit you need but do if they carry. I agree with Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse as well.
If your planning on keeping all factory speakers, make sure to get something with some HPF built in. Also consider the ground loop isolator. Kills the alternator whine that can be heard through the speakers.

Wal-Mart sells Jensen radios. I walked up to one a few days ago and half the buttons were missing, the tiliting screen no longer worked, they are crap! For $529 you can get a Pioneer Avic D3 and still have $150 in your pocket. GL

So with a new HU, should i bypass the stock amp and wire it through my own amp?
I was planning to keep the stock speakers and woofer for now.
