So i just recently got my es300 and the passenger side lock doesnt work. when i try to lock it it will move. but it just barely wont go all the way locked. I believe it has to do with the lock actuator. Now today the same door randomly wouldnt open from the inside or outside. The inside handle moves freely with ease but the outside handle is kinda stuck it can open and close it just kinda sticks in certain spots. The door is also not completley shut but it wont open or close all the way. Its like the door isnt sitting completley in the lock system. Could this door problem have been caused by the bad actuator?

Hate to say it, but you're going to need to take the door panel off to see what's going on. It sounds like it could be the actuator, but it might be a linkage that failed, or simply got unclipped...

Yes take off the door panel. If you need parts go to the junkyard. I have seen many second gen ES300s there. That is where I get a lot of my Legend's parts.

any suggestions on how to get the door open to remove the panel? i already ordered a new actuator off ebay seeing as im going to have to replace it for the lock issue. Wether that is the problem with the door being stuck or not im going to have to get that panel off and i am not sure on how to do that when the door is stuck. Any idea that wont destroy my car would be greatly appreciated. Scratches on the door jam would be fine but i dont want to completley tear up my car. thanks
