What kind of suspension are you using? Did you lower the car with coilovers? I have a 98 ES300 and have a finger gap space from tire to fender all around. Im using 225/40/18's x 4, 15mm rear spacers, I also shaved and rolled my rear fenders and no rubbing issues. Im flushed to fenders and negative camber in the rear, lowered her with coilovers. If I go lower in the rear, I start to rub the inner fender on bump and dips.
Usually you want the bigger tire in the rear, like the new IS's have, but in your case you dont. But, you dont want a big tire in the front and a smaller in the rear, wont respond as quickly on turns. I would have 225 or 215's all around and you might want to roll your rear fenders and stiffen your rear suspension if your on coilovers. If your not on coilovers, then you might have to change offsets of your rear rims, rear rims may be too wide or if you're using spacers, get smaller spacers, but make sure you have at least 0.5 inch of clearance from inner tire to your suspension. Just some helpful hints, just got to play around with things to make them work, also depends on what look your going for, VIP look, the Hellaflush look, the tucked in look or just a lowered conservative look. Good luck bro.

My rims are 18 x 8.5 and they dont rub, but remember, I'm have negative camber, I shaved and rolled my inner fenders in the rear and I'm also have a finger space from top of tire to fender, any lower and I start rubbing again on bumps and dips. Like I said it all depends on your rim offset, if your using spacers, fenders rollled or not, and tire size. Ive seen alot of cars here in So. Cal, that are tucked and riding so low and others are flushed, lowered and cambered. Like they say, gotta take the good with the bad.

Wondering how you moddified the springs to lower her, she must ride real ruff, you might end up ruinning your suspension components. You might want to get coilovers or lowered springs, so she rides better and doesnt break on you.

Right now I have the 18x8 wheels off a g35 w 245/45/18's they only rub when the car bottoms out over a bump in the road but its pretty negligible. If your car isn't lowered you shouldn't encounter too many issues.
