WD40 Destroys rubber. Don't use it.

As someone else mentioned. Silicone grease, or spray should do it, and its rubber friendly.

I had the same problem, and a Silicone spray resolved it.

I have solved the problem this way as well with success. Not on my 2000m ES, but a relatives 99 ES.

ya i have silicone spray for the rubber seal (for frameless windows) to avoid wind noise that i get during highway speed. dunt think the wind noise is reduced but keeps it "lubricated".

Silicone will expand rubber slightly, yet will not damage it. That's a good thing for rubber seals.

This is good to know.

Mine started doing it a couple of weeks ago when cold weather set in.

I'll be fixing it tonight.

Im experiencing more of a whine noise then a squeak noise, is there something i should be worried about? I greased it and while the noise was reduced, it didnt go away, i also only experience it going slowly in the driveway or parking lot ect.

I put a few shots of Silicone lube in front of the boot, and in behind it......not as loud as it was, but can still slightly hear it.

I'll give it a few days to see if it goes completely.

I have been living with this squeek for about 4 years now on my 03 ES300. Bought a can of silicone and fixed the problem in 30 seconds!
