when i first bought my car my odometer said 114k miles within a few days its bounced to over 10 readings. its currently at 871k miles. the cluster has been taken out before, maybe its a loose connection, but has anyone else ever had this?

I've never heard this happening. However, the speedometer needle will periodically bounce around 0-140 mph when i'm at a traffic signal, and consequently, the odometer goes up about 2 miles.
