Wrecked my Volvo, so I'm looking for an ES300
What should I keep an eye on problems wise?
I have found on CraigsList locally a 92 with 112k on the clock.
No pics, so I'm waiting on those.
I guess what I'm getting at are what should I expect from these?
I mean, its really an over-glorified Camry, but what's not to love?

What are you looking to spend?
Personally I would look for a 99' & newer and apart from all the obvious used car things to look for just make sure the engine its not sludged. Preferably look for a car with one owner that has all records and has been using 100% synthetic oil.

92 is whats in my price range.
I will probably sell the 850 for about $2000 or so because its a true R.
I talked to the owner of an ES today.
He said its black on black, has 112k on the clock and has a few issues:
--None of the windows work except the drivers window.
--The odometer continuously counts up, eventually reaching 999,999 and the back to zero.
--The trunk does not open.
Said a shop told him it was some relay, but he doesn't know where this relay is. Apparently he took it to a shop because the passenger window wouldn't roll down, but the guy messed it up and now the rear windows don't open.
Other than that he says he drives it every day. Outside is perfect, inside is perfect.
I'll go look at it tonight

Well good luck with that one, unless you get lucky and maybe do a lot of the work yourself Id say the odds are that you will spend $2000 on a 92' then spend another $3000 in the next year or so fixing it.
Could probably get a decent 99' that doesn't need any fixing for that. But hey you never know you could get lucky.
