New ES300 owner in Portland, OR--random 'quirks'

I've been a Honda Accord owner for the past 3 years and finally upgraded to a 1997 Lexus ES300. I got this car for a smoking deal because it has 182,000 miles on it. I am amazed at the quality ride (not one shake or rattle) for a car that is 12 years old. Aside from a chipped up bumper that needs to be repainted, the car looks great! I've also noticed most of the stereo and climate control lights are burnt out and the LCD on the stereo is completely blacked out : ( From what I've seen on the forums, this looks like a pretty common problem?! Other than that, I think I've found my new favorite car manufacturer!

Congratulations on getting a 1997 ES 300. You'll enjoy many miles with her just be sure to keep up on the proper maintenance. If you get a chance post a picture of your ES 300. Happy driving...

theyre definitly solid cars...they'll run forever if you maintain them!

the burned out climate control and radio bulbs are a very common issue...theres many a thread for how to repair them, so just do a quick search...
