Hello guys,

I just recently picked up a MINT condition 97 ES300 with 90K miles.

Can anyone tell me what "edition" this Es300 is? I heard of "coach", "platinum" etc etc

I noticed my ES300 has these few extra features that other ES300's dont have.

1. Heated Seats
2. Has a button for SPORTS/COMFORT selection
3. Has Memory Seats
4. Has ELECTRONIC SKID CONTROL feature where when you accelerate fast, theres a green indicator that displays.

Some told me its a "coach" edition and some said "its loaded platinum series".. Confused here...

coach or platinum editions would have a badge on the fender...
you might have a coach...i think they offered a coach in 97..
if not you just might have a standard ES with all the options...
i think platinum editions started for the updated 2000 model year

button for sports/comfort..... for the suspension.... if so you have the [really great] AVS . memory seats? cool. heated seats? hot, but that's a trademark lexus thing, really nothing special. electronic skid control.... cool, but it should help you with skids not just traction in a straight line acceleration.

Reason why i asked was to put this on the upcoming "for sale" ad.

I didnt see these options on Majority of the 97-01 ES300s for sale on the net. Some have one or two but not all so had me wondering....

Run the VIN at the dealer - they can tell you what it is and what all it's got.

well you have a super loaded es 300, which is a real nice find, especially if it's working and in good condition

agreed. most people usuallly just buy the base model ES 300's
