Replacing purge solenoid??
Hey guys...my Mom just called me because of some warning light she got in her 2001 ES300 this morning. She had the codes pulled at a local AutoZone and they told her that it was her purge solenoid? I'm guessing it has something to do with the fuel system. Anyone know how to replace the part? Is it under the hood?
Thanks in advance

Ask ur mom if shes put fuel in the car lately..most of the times that code comes on when the fuel cap is either loose or defective..it could also mean one of your vacuum hoses is leaking..i would check the fuel cap first and make sure the gasket inside isnt cracked or messed up cuz then you might need a new fuel cap if it looks ok try tightening it and the CEL should reset itself after a couple of miles.

Charcoal canister is a common thing. You might as well buy it at a Toyota dealership just cross reference the part number that will save you a few bucks. I have to change mine and I was told like $280 and it comes with that valve that sits on top. You should be able to do this yourself, several good write up here. GL
