Default '03 ES300 OEM 17'x7" 50mm offset wheel fit on '00 ES300?

Just checking. I know stock wheels on the ES300 was 16x6.5 45 mm offset. searched other threads but no one talked about offsets for 17x7 wheels or even mentioned 50mm offsets.

Ok, I told me brother-in-law to swap the tires at Sears. He says the sears guy says the rear tires are rubbing the struts? Why is that? I haven't looked at them yet, but will try to put them on myself tomorrow.

Well, I put the wheels on the back tire and it is slightly rubbing the the strut. Wil have to buy wheel spacers. Later when I get new tires, will 205/50/17 tires work? Current tires are 215/50/17
