Default Exterior Diff's....92-93 versus 94-96

What are some of the exterior differences in these years?
I think the 92-93 taillights had the ES300 on the taillight itself....while the 94-96 taillights did not have this.
If you get a 92 or 93....can you put the 94-96 taillights on?

Are the headlights different in any of these years, side mirrors?
Finally...the grilles....front ones....did those change at all from 92-96?
97 they went to the newer body style right?

92-94 talilights were slightly different, they met the liscensce plate while the 94-96 was not as long,

Your right about the placement of the badge.

Front, the 92-93 had circle, yellow fogs and the 94-96 had square fogs with a diff shaped lower grill.

That is all.

Default 94

I am going to have to disagree with your comments about the 94'. My 1994 ES has the badge on the tail light, and the rain lights are small and yellow and round. I think the similar cars are 92-94,and 95-96 for exterior looks. Just what I think. And 97 is the year that they changed to the newer body style, also adaptingthe new headlights that were no longer canister style. Let me know what you think.

OK, all the differences are what I thought.
Egainer is right....the 95 and 96 es300 only had the emblem on the car, not the taillight.....92-94 had the emblem on the taillight.
All of these other changes also started in 1995.
I did also notice the taillights meeting the plate in the 92-94 cars.....so this means 2 things...
1-The es300 is not as wide in 92-94.
2-The taillights must be completely diff. than from 92-94 to 95-96.
Can anyone confirm this?

Egainer is correct. Toyota uses the 5 year model generation plan. The first 3 years use the same exterior and by mid year or the last 2 years, the exterior is freshened. Usually if there is a new or updated engine to be introduced, they do it at the 3rd year.

To answer your questions TurboCharged:
1) The 92-94 taillights were a little different from their 95-96 counterparts.
2) the 92-94 housing shape is the same as the 95-96 but the interior of the lens housing is darker for 95-96.

Ya'll are right, I jumped a year. I think the 95/96 added an interior temp gauge or something, there is the COach edition and the engine went aluminum, with 188hp correct?

Default Temp

When you say interior temp gauge, do you mean one that measures the interior temp, or the one that measures the outside temp. Cause I have a thermometer in my 94, and my climate control is basically the inside gauge, after the car has been running for a while on auto
