1999 ES300 Oil Pressure Light Issue
I have 99 ES300 with about 111K on the clock. Last year my Oil pressure light came on and I took it to the workshop, where they said it’s the sludge problem so I got it fixed and they replaced the Oil Pump also. Everything seemed to work fine but after 5/6 K miles the light came on again, but when I used to press the Gas pedal it was going away and releasing the gas pedal making it come on again. I checked the owners manual where it said
"It could come ON after a hard stop or if the Oil level is extremely low and if it is constantly ON then take it to dealership but if you accelerate and it goes away then there is nothing serious and there is no particular reason for this light to come on"
So I just took it for Oil change as I already got the oil pump replaced, and after changing the oil the light didn't come on again until yesterday and after about 1100 miles after changing the oil. I am just confused what is going on with it. Can you guys suggest something? Thanks in advance

I can suggest turning it off immediately when the light comes on regardless of what the manual says. The car has a low oil light so it shouldn't be that. I'll also suggest the modern marvel known as synthetic oil. At this point you might even want to try an engine flush and then some quality synthetic like amsoil or mobil 1.

I got the oil changed and the light is gone, put the Lucas oil stablizer along with the oil, I hope it doesn't come on again, otherwise I will try your suggestion of engine flush and using the synthetic oil. Do you think using synthetic oil is okay with these many mileage?

Its possible it could leak or exaggerate an existing leak but it may be of more benefit to deal with a slight leak for the increased flow, especially in Jersey where it gets cold. I believe the general concensus around here is go synthetic anytime, someone correct me if i'm wrong. It won't damage anything that for sure.
