Hi guys,

Yes, they come painted/finished already - they only come in black.

I only had to replace the right hand side pillar so I only have the part number for that side - its 75505-33010. Just do a search online.

As I have mentioned earlier in the posts I live in AUSTRALIA and I have an AUSTRALIAN spec 97 ES so I had to go a dealer - My part was more expensive than in the USA (mine cost $76 AUS) but I have had a look online at some stores in the USA and I found a place - Carson Toyota that has them for US $41.36 each. When I looked at their USA diagram though, it shows 2 clips behind the pillar??

I'm not sure if their diagram is correct because when you all saw my DIY with pics - I didn't have any seperate clips at all, I just had the 4 clips that are built in to the piece. Once the clip is broken, it's broken! You have to get a new piece or glue it back on as someone else already mentioned.

I can't see any reason at all why the USA model would be any different, but the picture has me a little stumped. Can anyone in the US confirm it is the same? I'm pretty sure it is because another member replied to this post with the same things I wrote in the DIY - just prise off pillar and replace with a new one that has the new tabs built in.

I don't think this picture is correct......

Open for discussion.......

Cheers,

Going to order these with next pay check most likely, so I'll let you guys know if the American model is any different. I highly doubt it is, probably just a poor diagram, but I will let everyone know for sure.

Great write-up. I've been looking for a solution to this problem for some time.

If you don't want to hassle with replacing them, can always Plastidip them, find eBay covers, etc.
