Default replaceing springs struts on a 98 es 300

well my mom wants her springs struts replaced on her 98 es 300 it has 260k miles. the car came with the ajustable struts from lex but she dues not want to spend 2k just on struts. the reason why she wants this done is the car is getting very floaty. what do you recomend for replacement springs/struts? and linky to where to get them.

either kyb gr-2, tokico hp blues, or Koni's. My car also had the adjustable suspension, and it was replaced with regular struts. The harness is just not used. No big deal. I went wth Tokico hp blues and H+R 1 inch drop. Kind of a medium between full sport and the comfort setting comparing to the avs.

Hey the2ndr

You havent had any problem with some abs and trac light? I heard about this and it was scaring me hahaha

well a bit stiffer than the biggest bar ( out of 4 )
and a less stiffer than the sportiest one thats would be a good setting

learn from my mistake, put the toyota parts on, except the struts and spring can be nonoem, everything else toyota, and one more thing toyota means lexus or toyota, and one more thing, dont forget to make sure you got bump stops [rubber springs whatever they call it]

Never had a problem! My Tokico shocks and H+R springs have been on since summer/fall of 05. Don't quite remember the mileage maybe around the 140 or 150k mile mark? My car has 208k miles and rides like new!
