96 es300 transmission starting to go?
Im starting to become nervous about my transmission.
My car has about 165K or so miles, but the transmission is starting to become jerky.
When I shift from park to drive, there is a noticable jerk and plunkly noise as the tranny moves into drive. When I also press the accelerator, I notice a much milder, but still noticable jerk with the shift. Going from drive up to reverse also throws the transmission and makes it jerk.
I have not had any problems with the transmission revving up or any other bizzare problems, but Im wondering is there something starting to wear down, or too much freeplay between parts etc?
Also, I dont know if this is a coincidence, but I havent changed my tranmission oil in a while, lol.

Hope this help
I would check the engine mounts first, especially the dog bone mount.
You can search for "engine mount", "dog bone mount."
