Maybe from 1 being easy to 6 being hardest, I give it a 3.5. But it requires patience and remembering where everything goes. If you never done it, I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself. The thing I hate is removing the intake plenum, the vacuum hoses and the egr bolts. It's just those tight little spaces that make it hard.

I just had 90K service done (timing belt, water pump, additional belts, etc. etc.) and they also found the spark plugs needed to be done along w/ the tranny fluid. They also recommended doing the plenum gasket but I brought most of my own parts and told them not to worry about it since I had forgotten to buy that part. So obviously this might be a couple hours in labor at a shop right? Is it just a maintenance item or is it something I really should have done at 90K? We're just over 90K now but we just put a lot of $$ into the car to do a bunch of stuff, so i guess another couple hundred couldn't hurt. What exactly is the "plenum gasket", I have not worked on the actual engine before and haven't heard this term used for other cars I've owned.
