Question For All Generation ES300 Owners
you might remember me posting a few months ago about getting a new motor put into my 96ES300. Well, the shop finally got a motor for me, and its a 98ES300 Motor. Will that cause me any trouble down the road, and which one is honestly better?
Any info is a big help.

Hey, I'm not sure if I posted this here, but I did a motor swap in my 94 a few months ago. The engine was out of a 97. That being said, there was quite a few differences on the top of the engine that had to be swapped over, I ended up replacing the entire intake, fuel rails, etc, to those that were on the old engine. Other than that, though, it runs great
Im not sure what the differences are (if any) between the 96 and 98. They won't have to shortcut , or chop up anything to do the swap, so it should be all good. Later!

Since they're both the 1MZ, not too much should be different just because of the year difference, so it couldn't have been too difficult of a swap for your mechanic. Just make sure you start routine maintainance asap. Enjoy 'er!
