I'm not even sure why this car has pin stripes on it, but it doesn't look classy to me, so I want to remove them. I've removed about an inch and it seems to be ok underneath.

Anyone ever do this? No problems removing it? Just bought a 2001 w/70K on it.

Go pick up the 3M pinstripe removal wheel from you local autobody supply store. It is ~4" in diameter, feels like a pencil eraser and you attach it to a drill. It disintegrates the pinstripe into dust and does not affect the paint. It's pretty amazing!

I used this on OLD pinstriping on my Regency conversion van and it's a dream. You just have to hit it and move quickly, so you don't "burn" the paint. Count on waxing a little bit to smooth over some of the areas you removed.
