Where is that located, or where would i look? I cant find it on these forums (maybe im searching for the wrong thing....)
And havent fount it googling and what not.

Thanks guys..

Did my first brake job (front brakes/calipers) on my lexus today, and would not have been able to do it without the guidance on this site. Thanks so much clublexus. This community and those who compose it are top notch and so willing to help!

Mine is a 1993 model but AFAIK the anti-theft system for the radio should be the same on the 1998 model.
On my OEM Pioneer radio, the code is chosen by the operator. When I bought the car, I changed the code (a three digit number) from what it was set at by the previous owner. Luckily, the previous owner remembered it and gave me the code. So, the problem is, you have to know what the current code is before you can change it to something else or disable the anti-theft system. There may be a default code set by the factory but I'm not sure about that, or what the default code might be, if there is one. Maybe '000' or '999' or '123'...
The risk associated with trying different codes is that you only get 9 tries at it before the radio locks up permanently, requiring an expensive trip to the dealership to get it reset.

Good luck.

Have you tried the last 3 of your VIN #?

If that doesn't work, then definitely contact your local Lexus dealer.

I was going to say the same thing. If you dont program a code, you dont have to worry about it. The owners manual tells you the prcedure step by step.
