I swapped my temp gauge and fuel gauge arms because one was burned out, now when I fillup with gas the needle only goes to 3/4 full, is their any calibration or adjustment or any input would be helpful

The problem is your temperature and gas gauge needles are not the same. The temperature gauge needle has an extra counter-weight on it. The counter-weight is in the red box (see photo).
So, these needles really shouldn't be swapped one for the other.
