My A/C heater blower squeaks when it is at about 1/2 speed. If I turn it up to full blast it will squeak louder and more rapid for about 30 seconds then stop. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I assume I need to oil something, but I don't want my car to smell like WD-40. Any suggestions?

You probably have a rodents nest inside the blower wheel. Happened to my moms 4runner and my 2000 Solara. Its located under the glove box. Check it out.

Hi,

I can't be very helpful when it comes to the actual squeak itself, but if you do locate it and need to spray a lubricant try silicone spray instead of WD-40. The spray will do the same job and if choose a good quality one then there will be no strong smell either.
