Default How do I get this fixed?

The seam on my driver seat has come apart on a corner of the seat and I need to know where I can take it to get it restitched or if it can be done by me?

I had the same thing on my car when I got it, only it was the stitching on one of the center panels that came loose. I took my car to an auto upholstery shop. They removed the seat, took the seat cover off, restitched the seam and then reinstalled the seat, It took a couple of hours and cost me $60 for everything. I thought it was well worth it. That was a couple of years ago and it's still fine.

A local shop....probably a bit too far away from where you are
Check in your area for one.

If the leather is very hard, the seams will crack even after restitching the seam.

Not a very practical solution to the problem, IMO.
A local shop would be able to tell him when he took it in whether or not restitching it would work. My seats aren't soft anymore but two years later and it's still good and the stitching in the seam doesn't look like it ever had to be repaired.
