Weird whining noise from speakers.
Hey guys I have a 94 ES300 and i just installed a kenwood radio. My problem is that when the radio is on, it makes this werid high pitched noise, and it gets louder as I accelerate. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

You are basically extending the speaker wire up to your cd player.

Dont listen to these guys, do not buy a ground loop isolator you will waste your $$$. An isolator will help a little bit but you will still hear the whining, Ive been thru all of this and wasted 30$ on 2 isolators. You need to bypass the amp go check out other posts in the audio section. Even the dudes at the local audio shop told me the same thing. Ive bypassed the amp in my 96 es and now clean crisp music, no more annoying whining sound.

^what are you talking about when you say "these guys"? Only one guy suggested a ground loop isolator. It is a grounding problem even if it is related to the stock amp.

a Ground loop Isolator may or may not take care of the problem but for under $20 it's worth a try.
But it's much better if you just buy an aftermarket amp and run RCA wires from the headunit straight to the aftermarket amp, therefore bypassing the the factory amp.

Ok about all the wonderful comments about my ground loop idea. First off a ground loop isolator is usually used with a aftermarket amp or with the wiring harness that is usually used to hook up HU's on our cars. This is done via the composite audio jacks (red and white). It is worth a try since all situation are different also on top of that if you buy this http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search from radioshack they WILL let you return it in 30 days if it does not work just keep your receipt and packaging trust me I work there. As everyone else here I agree that the best way to go is with aftermarket amps with a complete stock bypass if this is not an option then try this you have nothing to lose. About some wonderful comments made by one of our newest of noobs this is a forum of very respectable enthusiasts and its best to show some respect at least untill you have some more posts under your belt. I hate to be the one to point it about but 7:1060 is quite the ratio to be bad mouthing at so easily. So on that welcome to CL and we all would love to see some pics please
