sulfer smell on es330

Doubt the cat is going bye-bye, but sometimes some gasolines will trigger this smell given their sulfur content.
This is readily apparent where I live with the high sulfur diesel and regular gasolines sold in Mexico, but it does exist in some U.S. gas, I know Shell had this smell a few times I tried it about 4 years ago with my RX300.

No, probably what occurred was just combustion related. Some times when there is a richer combustion (but not enough to throw the light), like when it is a bit hotter on the air side, HC or hydrocarbon count is higher (in term of emissions). This is unburnt gas and when it gets out the back, you guessed it. Sulfur levels are considerably lower in the U.S., but the smell can ocassionaly show itself.
About only good thing sulfur winds up doing is cooling the engine.
Most cars where I live use regular, high sulfur, due to cost and it is a horrible smell.

There is nothing wrong with the spark plugs in your car right now. Assuming that they are the original plugs that came with the car.
Still got that smell? It has got to be something with the exhaust system. If you can drive around to warm up the motor, crawl under the car and "smell" around the catalytic converter. Be careful not to get burned.

I also agree, your plugs are probably fine. I having been giving though to moving up from something like my Torquemasters to maybe something more experimental like pulstar plugs, but problem I have is I have no idea what will burn this Mexican gas down here, absolutely hate the stuff.
With that smell at higher RPMs, obviously you have more gas going in, so the smell is going to be enhanced.
Now as LXMN mentioned with the exhaust, I would check in any area where there are joints in the exhaust, as sometimes they need to be tightened. I still think this is largely gas related though, but an exhaust leak can enhance it.
