1997-2001 ES300 Speakers

I believe the doors are 5.25" in size but you could make a 6.5" speaker fit with a spacer.
Co-axial speakers are an "all in one unit" - they have both the tweeter and woofer incorporated into one piece (some speakers will have out crossovers to help divert the correct freq. properly)
Component speakers are just the opposite. They require more skill to install as the tweeter is separate from the woofer and will have outboard crossovers to hook-up. means more speaker cable to run.
Sound quality wise - component is the way to go because you can get better imaging by placing the tweeters up high in the door panel, a-pillar, or in the kick panels.
But if you are on a budget then coaxial speakers are the way to go.
