Levinson Sub ??
Does anyone know where the amp is for the sub in the Mark Levinson system in the 2002 ES 300. I want to turn it up a little. Really not that much bass is being outputted for a sub.
Has anyone notice that the sub is really turned down??

Hey, I can tell you right now. Do not mess with the factory amp. I have two twelve rockford fosgates in my trunk. I have a new amp, and I have replaced all the speakers in my car. THe factory amps are under the passenger seat, but they are factory programmed and cannot be turned up. If you want to make the subs louder, you need to get a new amp, and possibly replace the sub as to not blow it. The lexus subs, my dad has one in his nakamichi ls400, are auto leveled so not to give the seismic thump. If anyone knows this is different or i am wrong. please give me the correct advice.

alot of the stock stereos are tame compared to aftermarket, they dont want it to thump and have really low bass tones as to not turn off potential customers that are not into that sort of thing. Like Egainer said, they are factory preprogrammed and are set to a certain bass level within the amp, you are going to have to go with all aftermarket once you replace that amp with a more powerful unit, so that everything is well balanced for some major pavement pounding bass
