Default Taking a roadtrip

Well hope I have nothing to say but good stuff when I get back... This will be the first roadtrip for the Lex since I swapped out the engine... I'm taking the wife to see her mom in Bakersfield... We will be going up the I-5 up the grapvine grade... It's a good feeling to have confidence in your ride
Be back sometime sunday

Cool

How long a trip in miles/hours? Clean, straight interstates only or are there some tasty, scenic backroads with some twisties thrown in for good measure?

I have my fingers crossed for a safe, incident-free, motoring fun-filled trip for you, bro. You've worked so hard - you deserve nothing less.

Wow, Slooooooow said exactly what I wanted to. Only I would've put in the suggestion of dropping in on some fellow CL'ers along the way

Have a safe trip!

The way hes describing is quite straight. I did that trip a couple times to Gilroy in my dad's Dodge Caravan. I pegged the speedo at 100mph(max speed on it)

Good thing it blew the transmission out from itself after we went over the Grapevine. It would be horrible to be stuck up there

To the OP, no worries mate, you're in a Lex!

Thanks Slooooooow and everybody, Hearing stuff like that makes cl a great place to be... I am happy to report that the trip went without a hitch... It took about 3 hrs. each way once we hit the freeways, and round trip was about 500 miles mostly straight highway but once we got there we hit some roads with fun twisties... But its great to be home and the lex is deserving of a bath and de bugging...
