Default She's B E A U T I F U L again!

After a week in the bodyshop to repair the front-end damage she suffered when recently hit by a Ford F-350 pick-up (crumpled hood, wrecked bumper, busted headlight assembly, bent grille)

Sorry about the low-rez pic. I took it on my way to work this morning.

Yep, the headlight washers are still there and still squirting!

The only evidence that she ever got hit is the absence of any rock chips on the new bumper and hood....

Nice! I really want to put those on my car when I get a new bumper/paintjob. I hit a raccoon going about 90 on the interstate and cracked my bumper pretty bad. ;( I Found a guy from Canada selling a bumper with washers, but he wont ship it! Hopefully after about another month of nobody buying it locally and he will give in to me buggering him to ship..

Congrats!!! Looking good!! I was worried that you were gonna part w/ it at first, but Im glad you decided to keep the gen 2s alive!! How was the dealing with the insurance company and the body shop?? How much did it cost to fix? I havent had to deal with that yet so just curious.

Thanks! Well, for while there, I wasn't sure myself that she'd be fixed. I got a very disappointing estimate from the first body shop I took it to right after the accident. They told me the car was a write-off b/c the repairs would cost more than the car is worth. So I got an appointment with the insurance company (BTW, there is only ONE insurance company here that all drivers in this province deal with) and took the car in to have its value officially calculated. The insurance estimator just laughed when I told him what the body shop had said. He calculated the current value to be ~$6,000 and he said they were prepared to pay out $5,500 for the repairs. The total cost of the repairs was about $3,600
Needless to say, I went to a different body shop to have the work done. They did an awesome job and the paint match is perfect. I still have to go back and get the new grille put on in about a week. Right now I have the old grille attached which suffered some very very minor damage, but they ordered a new one anyway. It's out being chrome-plated at the moment.

I'd have to painfully agree! LOL
And I totally agree with the last line in your sig! - "The perfect mix of style and sexy!" There are no words that better describe the 2gen ES300!
But hey, I saw someone else's sig with that same line on LOC! I think his name was FA22ChevelleSS or something like that. I'd sue him for copyright infringement if I were you....
