Question 235 tires too wide?

I'm going to be installing ASA jh3 wheels and trying to decide on tires.
Anyone have 235 width tired? I'm either going 225 45 17 or
235 45 17 if they fit.

thanks,

225 45 18 rubbed for me, my car is lowered though. I wouldn't doubt that 225 45 would work if the car isn't lowered too much.

good luck and welcome to CL

I plan on lowering it an inch or so. I think I'll go with the H&R's.

Love your car vin! any more pics?

It really depends on the offset of your rims
my old setup didnt rubbed at all with 235/45/17, 45offset (will need 3mm spacer for the rear), 17 x 7.5

fyi, i m running on 18 x 8(SC430 rims), 225/40/18, 45 offset

you will be fine.

btw...IMO 215/50/17 would look alot better... since it will stretch the tire a bit..

18" 235s hit the inside of the fender on my 02 ES when I hit big whoopi-di-do type bumps with an adult or two in the back seat.

Next time I go with 225s.
