Official ES Aftermarket/OEM Wheels Thread

Didn't have any rubbing issues when I had 225/45/18s on 18x7.5 wheels. But that is on a 4ES.
On RSX 5 spoke 16s now. Nice light alloy wheels (~16 pounds each) and I like the subtle twist design.

This will probably get buried, but here goes:
Honda Crosstour 18s, +55 offset
10mm bolt-on spacers
225/40/17 tires
Custom Lexus center caps.
Bare with me until I get my suspension sorted out.

thanks for this thread, because of it i have a good idea on how different OEM wheels will look on my 3ES. the sc430's and LS (18x7.5) are the 2 on my list for OEM upgrade until i save up for actual wheels.
WindomES01, those tC wheels look really good on you car. especially with the bottom half of your car being similar in color.

98 es300
on original 141k suspension in front, quick struts 4-5k old in the rear lol
Sumitomo HTR 215/60/16
2003 ES300 16"
I looked through this thread heavily looking for someone with this set up before I committed to getting the tires for the wheels, but I couldn't find anyone running it.

^^^looks good, some times when newer model wheels are put on older models look out of place to me. its hard to explain what i really mean but your wheels look good on your ES.

I know what you mean. It's because we picture them on the car they're supposed to be on. I personally don't like these wheels on the car they are supposed to be on lol.

My 2005 ES330 came with the plain factory alloy wheels and frankly I think they were totally out of place on the car. They were just so plain and dull and blah. Frankly IMO they looked cheap, considering that this wasn't a cheap car in the first place. They looked like they would go on a base Camry, maybe even a mini van.
When I saw an ES330 drive past my house with chrome wheels on it I knew my car needed to have an upgrade. I am not into huge wheels and such, just wanted a tasteful upgrade that worked with the car and looked reasonably original. OE Wheels sells a number of Lexus replica wheels including chrome ones from the ES350 model. I compared theirs to an original set someone had on Amazon and they could not be told apart, but the price of the originals on Amazon was nearly 3x as much as the replicas. I couldn't afford the real thing so I ordered from OE Wheels and I'm quite pleased with the results. ES350 wheels on an ES330 is pretty conservative but you don't see the chrome wheels very often - and they really, really raised the bar for my car. I think it looks a whole lot classier than it did with the blah original wheels. I paid $683 (including $101 shipping) for the wheels, a set of chrome lug nuts and four chrome valve stems, and another $80 at my local service shop for mounting and balancing.
These wheels seem to be about the same weight as the originals so the ride has not been affected. One positive note, a couple months ago when I had the original wheels yet, I hit a pothole that opened up right in front of an iron railroad track and I can't help wondering if that didn't bend my front right (original) wheel slightly, because the car seems just a bit smoother at speed with the new ones than it did with the originals.
