Rattle
I HAVE A 2006 ES 330, MY PROBLEM IS A RATTLE IN THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN I START TO PUSH IT DOWN, ALSO A RATTLE WHEN IT COMES BACK UP TO THE TOP. MY DEALER SAYS THAT THIS IS NORMAL FOR THIS LEXUS. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ANNOYANCE??/

Welcome to CL. First of all, please refrain from typing in all caps, as you make it sound like yelling to the rest of us
For the brake pedal rattle, it sounds like the pedal itself may be loose at the interface. Try to check and see where the pedal may be loose. If anything else, bring the car to the dealer as your '06 ES should still be under basic warranty for anything not wear-and-tear.

If the car is relatively brand new then yes bring it into the dealer, and dont accpet the answer "this is normal" because you didnt buy a peice of ****, you purchased a Lexus right? So this "normal" problem shouldn't be happening, therefore MAKE THEM fix it.

no help from dealer
thanks for the replys.
So far, I have brought the car to the dealer, then I contacted Lexus cust. svc. Guess what NO satisfaction.
Lexus said that they called the dealer that I brought the car to to begin with, and the dealer said that this is common, What a spin.....
I told Lexus svc, that the car sounded like a Yugo.
I had a Lincoln town car before this, and it sure was built better.
I think that Lexus is no different than any of the other car mfg's., once they sell it too bad......
Live and learn....
the noise is coming from the arm, there is a puny spring attached to the arm, which is supposed to keep tension on the assy......l;Mickey Mouse...

That's garbage!
If it bothers you that much, and i assume it would lol.. and the dealer wont do anything about it then contact the headquarters!
Look at it this way... When you test drive that exact model from the dealership it doesnt make that noise right? I would think not! So then why should yours... My opinion, if yours has this problem, and its appearently "common" then make them replace whatever happens to be causing it until your warranty expires! Stand up to those guys, make a big deal about it! Think about it this way... if you start yelling in the showroom at them, then people who are thinking about buying their cars will be drawn away because they see that customer satisfaction isnt too great... the dealership wouldnt want that, so usually when you start to raise your voice, they begin to listen!
Good luck!
