Default Dead spot during acceleration

Hello!

I have a 94 ES300 with 300,000km on it.

It has developped a bad acceleration during wide open throttle.

The car accelerate OK from 1K to 3.5K. At 3.5K, it stops accelerating for 2 seconds (RPM stays at 3.5K), then after that It accelerate again from 3.5K to Redline normally.

Car starts OK, and IDLES fine.

What could be the problem ?

Already changed air/fuel filter.

I would say fuel filter but if you are acceling normally to start with, then thats not it...

could be grounding from your engine...

check your tranny fluid, make sure you have enough of it in there... or maybe time for a change/flush,

i would say injectors but not only at that point in acceleration...

hrm... cant think of much else...

Fuel filter is brand new.

Tranny fluid is red/brown and at good level, no burning smell (afraid to change it).

Grouding is good.

Injectors ?? How can I test them ?

Sounds more like a TP sensor problem to me. While your checking it, clean your throttle body and check vacuum lines.

Cool

Take a video of it. It's 2007.
I'm going to ditto the tps sensor possibly needing to be adjusted, the fuel injectors need to be checked.

And throw in the possibility that it could be overactive knock sensors if you're exaggerating the problem.

And don't be a ***** & blow your transmission up. Always change the transmission fluid.

So you want me to take a video of the tach (RPM) while I'm accelerating so you could see the slow-down ?

I don't see how It could help you much, all you will see is the acceleration slowing down between 3k and 4k and taking back after 4k.

But I will make that video for you anyway...
