ABS Comes on under 5mph
My ABS light not on and when ever I go to stop right before the car stops about 5 mph or less I feel the the ABS system kick in. Any one else very had this problem and how was it fixed? It just started today for what seems to be no reason...Thanks

I know it looks like I am going to have to take the car to my mechanic, but in the meantime I don't want the abs pump constantly coming on. I tried to remove the 60A fuse but it did not want to come out. What is the trick to its removal?
Thanks

My understanding is that the computer is constantly checking the ABS sensors, and when it determines that one wheel is decelerating abnormally faster than the other wheels, it then activates the ABS pump. I think the ES300 uses 4 ABS sensors, I'm not sure though.
So, can you tell if anything abnormal is occuring right before you feel the pulsating? I've never experienced this problem with my ES so I can't really help you much.
It may just be an intermittent sensor on one of the wheels. If one sensor was bad then I would think that it would cause the ABS light to go on and throw a code.
I would go to autozone or another store and check to see if there are any codes.
Good luck and once you figure out the problem please let us know for the sake of others that may run into the same problem in the future.

Its one of the abs sensors being dirty. Sometimes the dealer will put grease there. All you got to do is take out the sensor, clean it realy good and then clean the opening where it goes in. Make sure everything is dry when putting it together. Good luck.
