Default New member, Pround new owner, Question about shift lock problem.

I just bought a 94 ES300 it has 160k but is in flawless condition. Though there are two things wrong... First the needles but I red up on that problem and will probably fix them soon. Second I CAN"T SHIFT OUT OF PARK! I have to use the manual over ride EVERY TIME! I looked back on the maintinace records and this has already been a problem once but it cost $285 to fix! Something about a melted wire harness or something. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

Other than that my LEX is sweet, I begin my audio project tomorrow, MMMMmmm JL W7...

Thanks for the help

Chris

gratz on the ride. I find irony in "flawless but cant shift out of park" Post some pics when you finish your audio project! I'd love to see it.

I hate to say it but i don't think there is an easy fix for your problem check out car-part.com and see if you can get the part and fix it yourself other that that you should go to your Toyota dealer
