Default 97 Amber Taillights tinted RED pics

Had some spare time and decided I would give the amber turn signals a new look. Maybe some day I can get some 01 Tails, but I am pretty satisfied with the results. Cost me less then $20. Love it or hate it, its better than stock

The red tape tail mod looks really good. I'm sure it blinks nice and red as well HoeBag used to have this mod on his white '97 ES (do a search for his name and you'll find lots of pics of his ES).

BTW what happened to your 18's? One quick suggestion: Change out your gold emblems as soon as you can (preferably for black pearl or silver ones). IMO the gold emblems don't look right as the gold finish tends to fade out after a while.

did you use spray paint or the transparent red vinyl tape? I was thinking about doing this mod a few months ago after seeing it done on legends and rsx's but never had the chance. It looks really nice compared to the amber. Good job

Looks really good. From the pics, I would say that they came that way if I did not know better. Nice DIY.

the only problem that i've seen with paint is that it starts to fade after a while and then it has to be resprayed although it wasn't paint specifically designed for taillights like yours.

Looks really good. Did you spray the hole light or just the amber portion?

i took my lights off since it was really windy in socal today. it's funny that we did the same thing on the same day with the same product. i don't even think i ever mentioned that i wanted to do this to my tail lights. the lights were a huge pain to take off.
