Cool

Gel cell. Optima. Prefferably a yellow top.
Get a lamp timer, set it to one hour a day & plug a top-off charger into it.

You won't buy another battery for 10 years.

I had a Yellow top Optima previously in my car before the ES, reason I didn't keep it is because the post mounts where in a different position. But anyway I can attest that is definitely was an excellent battery.
I will purchase a new one shortly.
mines was like a 650cc or something maybe 800cc

Optima Red Top, 34R, has the the posts reversed to fit the ES.
I don't know if the yellow top is the same model number.

I have a Red Top 34/78 in my RX300 which has a similar configuration to your ES, but the posts are further away and required stretching the battery cables, as turning the battery around would have required crossing the cables over each other to make it fit. Excellent batteries and no complaints.
