I am planning on buying a 03 Es 300. I always do my own maintenance and I wonder if they still print the service manuals? I realize that the newer cars have a lot that cannot be done, but I always like to have the shop manuals. Where can I buy these?

They will give you one free owners manual every three months if you register on lexus.com.


Toyota/Lexus/Scion does sell the hardcover repair manual at great cost.
Or
Techinfo.toyota.com is Toyota's informational network. $10 a day gets anyone in the US access to any material they have on... Well really anything repair related.
OR
Find the techinfo manuals online.



You can do everything on newer cars... They don't require some ungodly amount of technical skill, or any mechanical ability to work on, provided you can follow directions & atleast start with a proper diagnosis of a problem.

It's nice to know that I can still work on the newer ones. I do all the maint on my 96 F350 and 92 Corolla and they run great.

Check ebay. You can get a CD of the service manual for $7 shipped. I just ordered one myself. I'll let you know what the quality is like when I receive it. If you want the offical printed version, try Park Place Lexus or Sewell Lexus. Both have online stores.
