airbag light when starting

Default airbag light when starting
i have a 96 es with 90k on it. for the past month or so, when starting the car the airbag warning light stayed lite longer than before. is this ok or do i need it to get checked

If the airbag light goes out after the self-check, it's working properly, even though it takes longer then normal. Exactly how long does it take to go out?

about a good 2-3 seconds. before the warning light goes off in less than 1 sec.

I wouldn't worry about it then. The fact that the light goes off indicates that everything checks out.
