Default Transmission Fluid is overfilled.........

Will I be albe to drain the transmission fluid myself, or will a dealership or mechanic shop have to do it. I've read that a machine has to actually do it with a tube inside while draining the tranny but dont know if thats true or not, got the car in this condition. The car doesnt slip but from time and time itll shift hard. What should I do?

Cool

Crack the drain bolt open, or suck it out the dipstick. For shifting hard, check the kick-down cable.
If it's too over filled, it'll foam up on the dipstick.
