Default how to eliminate engine sound noise from stereo

o.k. so i got all my stuff connected the new head unit alpine 9857 and rockford 500s with one 12" JL Audio w3 ver. 1. but this damn engine noise or alternator noise is bugging the hell out me. how do i get rid of this noise, i'm using the metra harness for 2000 es300 (70-8113). everything in the connection line have been soldered with heat shrink. now i read a couple of post here that the stock ground wire is no good, so i disconnected that and ran a wire down the kick panel and connected the ground there. i've checked the resistance from ground to body chasis and it's reading zero resistance. i don't know if thats how you check the resistance or not. The amp ground is connected to where the seat belt is bolted down. see pic below.....

and where is the amp anyway for 2000 es300 i've read somewhere it's in the glove compartment, but i don't see anything in there, is it behind the glove box or something, how do i remove this thing to see if it's where the stock amp is.

Are your power wires and signal wires running together to the amp? You might want to check the ground wire from the battery to the body.

My 97 radio has the factory amp behind the glovebox. You can probably see it from underneath.
Mine has the same whine at low volume. Very low whine though. Im using all factory connections.

yeah the power wire and remote are running together. i ran wire the same way as my 4runner and passat stereo install with power and remote together, rca on the driver side with no engine noise. i've even disconnected the rca output jacks from amp and noise still exist. turned sub amp off by pulling remote wire from it, not even close. alright i'll probably try to run the remote along with the rca on driver side and see what happens. oh one thing though the remote wire that is connected to the amp is tapped between the head unit remote wire to the metra harness, would this be a bad thing.

I have the same problem! except I still have the stock radio and with two 10" Alpine Type R's. My ground for the amp in the trunk is just a screw that is popped into the metal in the trunk. This noise has been there ever since I put in the subs, and it is so freakin annoying!

Do you guys think the problem lies with where the grounds are connected, or with what the wires are touching?

I think as long as your RCAs and power wire are on opposite sides you're okay. I recommend using the same guage ground wire as power wire. Make sure ground wire is making good contact to metal, might have to sand down paint in a small circle to bare metal.

I've always run the Remote turn on with the RCAs, probably because they both come from the same location, and the power from the Remote is very low anyway.
I have 3 remote wires hooked up to HU. my stock amp, my JL amp, and my Audio Control 3.1 Line driver.
Everything is fine Besides the low whine

Let us me know how it goes or if you get it figured out
